This workshop familiarizes you with operating a Risograph machine while making a small edition of two-color prints or flyers.

The Risograph is a digital duplicating system deceptively packaged to look like a Xerox machine, creating multiples with a process similar to screenprint. Beautifully interpreting both graphic and photographic imagery, this machine is a unique tool for producing zines, handbills, posters, prints, cards, and more!

No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. If there is specific imagery and text you would like to work with for this workshop, bring it with you on paper! This is a full-on analog experience. Sketchbooks, old magazines, photos, and printed text are super resources.

The total cost for this class is $60.00. In the instance of cancellation or no-show, we cannot refund the cost of the workshop. We can put the credit toward another Riso workshop in the future, (as long as the workshop is not already at capacity).

No experience in printmaking or design? No problem. My workshops offer a range of themes paired with printmaking processes. All necessary materials are provided for our courses unless stated otherwise in the course description.

If you have paid for a workshop but are unable to attend please email me as soon as possible. Refunds cannot be issued but rescheduling is an option! Your registration balance will remain and can be applied to any future workshop with available spaces. Please do not postpone your attendance more than once. RISO MACHINE RENTAL

Taking a Risograph workshop is a mandatory prerequisite to renting time on our risograph machines. The maximum size of the printable area of our machines is 8.25"x13.75". Maximum paper size ~12"×17". Riso materials are charged per use, $1 per master used, and $0.05 per-page, per-color printed. In addition, there is a flat day rate of $10. Proofing paper is available at no cost.

Riso Rental Hours: THURSDAYS - 4 to 9pm (unless there is a workshop), FRIDAYS - 2 to 6pm, and SATURDAYS - 3 to 7pm

Risograph rental must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of rental time. An online reservation form will be available soon. Until then email sshebaro@gmail.com with rental requests. Be sure to include the date and estimated rental time.
